Thanksgiving to the Giver of All

Psalm 26:1-7; 95:1-3; 100; Philippians 4:4-7; Revelation 7:12

“Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity; and I have trusted in the Lord without wavering.  Examine me, O Lord, and try me; Test my mind and my heart.  For Thy lovingkindness is before my eyes, and I have walked in Thy truth.  I do not sit with deceitful men, nor will I go with pretenders.  I hate the assembly of evildoers, and I will not sit with the wicked. I shall wash my hands in innocence, and I will go about Thine alter, O Lord, that I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving, and declare all Thy works.” Psalm 26:1-7

“O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.  Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.  For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.” Psalm 95:1-3

“Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth.  Serve the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful singing.  Know that the Lord Himself is god; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.  Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise.  Give thanks to Him; bless His name. For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting, and His faithfulness to all generations.”

Psalm 100

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!  Let your forbearing spirit be known to all men.  The Lord is near.  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 4:4-7

“Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen.”  Revelation 7:12

May God’s word, His faithfulness, His love, His grace, His mercy, His hope, His promises, His glory, His might, His power, His truth, His light, His healing, His provisions, His protection, His discipline, His church, His Son, His cross, His resurrection, His return to the Father, His return for us, and His gift of eternal life for you and me, be all the reasons and our focus of Thanksgiving this year.  For without Him we would have NOTHING to be thankful for.  He is the giver of all.
