The Victory Is Yours
Ephesians 6:10-20
Yesterday, we began the process of reading about the armor of God and revealing that by putting it on each day, He will equip you to face the battle and fight the good fight of faith in your daily lives. You were challenged with reading Ephesians 6:10-20 every day this week. Now, the next challenge is not to just read it but to meditate on it. Ask the Lord to reveal to your heart, mind and spirit the depth of the meaning of these verses and how they are meant especially for you in your battles. As you read the verses insert your own name in it to personalize it and to remind you that His armor will protect you, empower you and equip you to stand firm for the cause of Christ and to overcome the struggles of life. Remember, with God’s armor the victory is yours.
(Example: Finally, Joyce, be strong in the Lord… I will put on the full armor of God, that I may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.)
Ephesians 6:10-20
“Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God; that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the Gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.”
What battles are you facing today? Who is causing you frustration? Give the battle and the person, or persons, to the Lord; put on His armor and allow Him to fight the battles for you. As you stand firm He will raise you up and personally give you victory.
